We promote and foster the cultivation of employees’ skills and experience to improve retention and increase productivity and organizational effectiveness. We are committed to employee development, and organizational enrichment.

Our employee development plan encompasses:

  1. The alignment of employee goals and performance with that of the organization’s
  2. The skillsets the employee wants to gain
  3. The resources the employee can use

We provide tools and resources through our e-Learning site (lms.assl.com) and encourage our people to think creatively about how to solve problems and make things happen.

Employee Welfare

Amalgamated Security Services Limited supports the Building Responsibly Principles. We have introduced many welfare schemes for our employees and their dependent family members to improve their quality of life over time.

Building Responsibly Principles

Employee welfare initiatives undertaken by ASSL:

  1. Loans and Advances - To mitigate financial hardships a loan facility is available to employees.
  2. Work-Life Balance Avenues - Opportunities to participate in social, cultural, and sporting events.  The Sports and Cultural Club committee is set up in each division to promote and organize employee activities like sports, games, and cultural activities among employees and their family members.
  3. Employee Assistance Program - External counseling services are provided for employees to get counseling on various matters.
  4. Grievance Management System - A well-established online Grievance Management System for its regular employees.
  5. ASSL Hotline - ASSL employees, contract staff, and third parties can report concerns and any potential breaches of the Code of Conduct confidentially and anonymously through our hotline, which is operated 24 hours a day, every day.
  6. Visibility, pulse, and well-being surveys - We conduct pulse surveys amongst staff to identify areas of the business that are seeing high levels of stress, anxiety, or burnout and better understand how the employee's needs.
  7. Chairman Chat Line - An established chat line with our Executive Chairman for all employees.
  8. Child Care Assistance - Childcare assistance is available to all employees via the company’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  9. Drug or Alcohol Rehabilitation Program - Employees have access to a substance abuse program that provides treatment for substance abuse, counseling, and therapy.
  10.  Educational Leave - Leave of absence available to employees to further their education.
  11. Employee Discounts - We have an employee discount program which allows all employees to enjoy discounts at various local stores.
  12. Health Life & Critical Illness Insurance - Well-established health and life insurance inclusive of critical illness for all employees.
  13. Time & Excellence in Service Awards - An established incentivized program that awards employees based on the length of service with the organization i.e. 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of service.
