Mr. Melvin Aberdeen is a career security professional who currently serves as the Chief Investigations Officer at ASSL with responsibility for incident management and risk reduction, a position he has held since 2012. In 1987 he joined the organization at the rank of a Security Officer and quickly progressed holding several supervisory and senior positions including Static Supervisor, Asst. Operations Manager (South), Divisional Manager (South West & Special Operations), and Recruitment Manager.
Throughout his career, he has been the recipient of several awards including:
Best Static Supervisor, Most innovative Divisional Manager and The Chairman’s Golden award.
His certifications include:
Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS)
Certified Protection Personnel (CPP) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS)
Certified Range Safety Officer and Certified Instructor from National Rifle Association (NRA)
He is the holder of a BA Degree (Hons.) – Business Management from Angelia Ruskin University
And is also a Certified polygraph examiner by the American Polygraph Association and has conducted over (200) polygraph examinations.
In 2019 Mr. Aberdeen was instrumental in leading the Investigations Department at ASSL in obtaining the prestigious ISO 18788:2015 Certification which speaks to the planning, delivery, and oversight of Risk Management and Investigations.
