Amalgamated Security Services Limited (ASSL) proudly recognized the outstanding achievements and dedicated service of its employees at its Annual Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony, held on June 13, 2026, at the Companyโs Corporate Headquarters in El Socorro, San Juan.
The ceremony celebrated exceptional employee performance, commitment, and loyalty, bringing together management, award recipients, and staff members to honour individuals whose contributions have played a significant role in the continued success and growth of the organization.
The event commenced with opening remarks from Awards Chairperson, Ms. Risha Mahabir, and Mr. Martin Rollock, Chief Firearms and Cash Management Officer, who both highlighted the importance of recognizing excellence and fostering a culture of dedication, professionalism, and service.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Michael Aboud (Hon.), Executive Chairman of ASSL, emphasized the invaluable role employees play in the Companyโs success. He expressed his appreciation for the commitment, resilience, and professionalism demonstrated by team members across the region, noting that the organizationโs achievements are built upon the collective efforts of its workforce.
Throughout the ceremony, employees were recognized for exemplary performance and significant milestones in long service. Award recipients received trophies, certificates, and monetary awards in recognition of their achievements and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Executive Chairman’s Feature Address – 35th Annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony
Good morning, everyone.
Members of the Board of Directors, Executive Management, distinguished guests, members of our leadership teams, award recipients, and most importantly, the loyal and dedicated employees of the Amalgamated Security family.
Today is a very special day.
Today is a day of celebration.
A day of reflection.
A day of gratitude.
And above all, a day of recognition.
As we gather for our 35th Annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony under the theme “Time and Excellence,” we come together to celebrate the people who have made this organization what it is today.
For me personally, this occasion is always one of the most important events of the year.
As Founder and Chairman of Amalgamated Security Services Limited, I have had the privilege of witnessing the growth of this organization from its earliest beginnings to becoming one of the largest and most respected security organizations in the Caribbean.
When I reflect on that journey, I do not think first about buildings.
I do not think first about vehicles.
I do not think first about equipment, technology, or systems.
I think about people.
Because at the end of the day, organizations do not build themselves.
People build organizations.
People create culture.
People create standards.
People create success.
And people create legacies.
Today, we honour those people.
We honour men and women who have dedicated years of their lives to serving this organization with commitment, professionalism, loyalty, and pride.
We honour those who have remained steadfast through changing times, changing technologies, changing markets, and changing challenges.
We honour those who understood that excellence is not something that happens occasionally.
Excellence is a habit.
It is a discipline.
It is a commitment to doing the right thing consistently, even when nobody is watching.
Today we celebrate employees who have reached remarkable milestones of service.
Ten years.
Fifteen years.
Twenty years.
Twenty-five years.
Thirty years.
And for some truly exceptional individuals, thirty-five years of dedicated service.
Just think about that for a moment.
Thirty-five years.
That is more than a period of employment.
That is a lifetime of commitment.
A lifetime of showing up.
A lifetime of overcoming challenges.
A lifetime of contributing to something greater than oneself.
Many of our long-service award recipients have spent a significant portion of their lives helping to build this company.
They have watched it grow.
They have watched it evolve.
They have contributed to its success.
And they have helped shape the values and standards that define us today.
To each of you receiving a long-service award, I offer my sincere thanks and deepest appreciation.
Your loyalty has not gone unnoticed.
Your dedication has not gone unnoticed.
Your contribution has not gone unnoticed.
You have helped build something that will continue to serve generations to come.
You are an important part of the Amalgamated Security story and history.
Today we also celebrate another very special group of individuals.
Those employees who have distinguished themselves through exceptional performance.
Those who have gone beyond expectations.
Those who have demonstrated leadership.
Those who have embraced responsibility.
Those who have consistently delivered outstanding results.
Across every department, every division, every service line, and every area of our business, there are individuals who have set themselves apart through their commitment to excellence.
To our departmental award recipients, our recognition award recipients, and our Best of the Best award winners, congratulations.
These awards are not simply trophies or certificates.
They represent effort.
They represent discipline.
They represent sacrifice.
They represent commitment.
They represent a standard of performance that others aspire to achieve.
You have earned the respect of your colleagues and the admiration of your leadership team.
Today we recognize and celebrate your achievements.
At the same time, I want every employee here to understand something important.
Recognition today is focused on specific individuals, but success belongs to all of us.
Every employee contributes.
Every role matters.
Every responsibility has value.
Whether you work in Operations, Cash Management Services, Monitoring, Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Customer Service, Technology, Investigations, Training, Sales, Logistics, Maintenance, or any of the many departments that support our organization, your work matters.
The success of Amalgamated Security has never been the result of one person.
It has always been the result of many people working together toward a common goal.
For thirty-five years we have built a reputation based upon service, professionalism, trust, and reliability.
Those values continue to guide us today.
As we celebrate our achievements, we must also remember that excellence is not a destination.
It is a journey.
The world continues to change.
The security industry continues to evolve.
Technology continues to advance.
Customer expectations continue to increase.
The challenges of tomorrow will be different from the challenges of yesterday.
But if there is one thing I have learned throughout this journey, it is that our greatest strength has always been our people.
The dedication, resilience, professionalism, and commitment of our employees have carried this organization through every challenge we have faced.
And those same qualities will continue to guide us into the future.
As we look ahead, I encourage each of you to continue striving for excellence.
Continue learning.
Continue growing.
Continue challenging yourselves.
Continue seeking opportunities to improve.
Continue taking pride in your work.
Continue treating every customer interaction as an opportunity to demonstrate professionalism and service excellence.
And continue being ambassadors for the values that have made this organization successful.
Before I conclude, I would like to recognize and thank the families of our employees.
Behind every dedicated employee is often a family that has supported them through long hours, changing schedules, challenging assignments, and personal sacrifices.
To the spouses, parents, children, and loved ones who have supported our employees throughout their journey, we thank you.
Your support has contributed in no small measure to the success that we celebrate today.
