We Support the Energy Sector

The nature of Energy Service contracts mandates close adherence to stringent requirements. As the rulemaking process evolves, those accountable for chemical and petrochemical facility security can turn to ASSL for assistance with:

  • Conducting and updating Site Vulnerability Assessments
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive security plans.
  • Ensuring the overall effectiveness of physical security measures.
Where we provide security officers at companies in the energy sector our stated mission at these facilities is as follows:

“Security Officers are responsible for providing, maintaining and performing all necessary security functions in accordance with the Energy Services Security Program. This includes protecting energy facilities against sabotage of equipment and theft of materials, controlling access, determining the extent of the threatening situations, assessing the extent of such threats, summoning reinforcements and exerting force to prevent or delay malicious acts.”

Importance of Occupational Health and Safety

We recognize the importance that Occupational Health and Safety plays in today’s workplace, not only for employees of the customer but also for our employees working on customer sites. As a result part of our induction training for all security officers focuses on Occupational Safety and Health and in the preparation of Assignment Instructions safety and health issues are addressed.

Facilities in the energy sector usually involve perimeter protection an access control through the use of hardened portal access control stations, patrols (vehicle and foot), surveillance from alarm stations, armed response to and assessment of alarms, and engagement of adversaries under deadly force authorities and constraints. Our electronic security division has implemented security systems at many of the petrochemical facilities in Trinidad.
