Honourees , special invited guess, senior leaders, and esteemed members of the Amalgamated Security Services family,
Good evening.
As we gather in the spirit of Christmas, surrounded by the joy and gratitude that this season brings, I am reminded of the strength and heart that define this organization. Tonight is more than a celebration. It is a moment to pause, to reflect, and to honour the people who continue to carry Amalgamated forward with purpose and unwavering commitment.
For over four decades, our journey has been shaped not by buildings or systems, but by the character, resilience, and devotion of our people. And so, this evening, we honour those among us who have stood the test of time. Our long-service awardees, whose years of dedication speak to loyalty and an unbroken bond of trust. Each milestone you celebrate represents countless hours of service, countless problems solved, and countless moments when you chose duty over ease. You have helped build the foundation on which this company stands, and tonight, we salute you.
We also pause to recognise our retirees. You are the pillars who gave your strength to this organization long before many of us took our first steps through its doors. You served with pride. You carried the values of Amalgamated with dignity. And though you may be stepping away from active duty, your legacy remains etched into the very walls of this organization. We wish you peace, joy, and well-deserved rest, knowing you have left a mark that time will not erase.
And tonight, we honour a special group: the recipients of the Chairman’s Distinguished Awards. These individuals embody the highest standards of excellence and service. They remind us that exceptional work is not an accident. It is the result of discipline, heart, and a willingness to go beyond the expected. Your contributions have strengthened operations, inspired teams, and elevated our reputation at home and across the region. You stand as examples of what is possible when one commits not only to a job, but to a purpose.
To all our senior staff gathered here this evening, I extend my deepest gratitude. Leadership is not a title. It is a responsibility. And each of you carries that responsibility with courage and conviction. You guide teams, you carry burdens, you shoulder challenges that are often unseen. Know that your work matters. Know that your efforts are felt. And know that your dedication remains one of the greatest gifts to this organization.
As we close the year 2025, let us hold on to what has always defined Amalgamated Security Services: our faith in each other, our devotion to service, and our commitment to building a safer and stronger future for the communities we serve. Let us carry into the new year a renewed sense of purpose, inspired by the examples we celebrate tonight.
And now, as we prepare to honour our ASSL awardees this evening, it is also my privilege to turn our attention to a moment of broader distinction, where we will recognise the individuals and institutions whose impact reaches far beyond our organization and strengthens the communities we serve. This falls under the IMPACT recognition awards and I would speak a little about this in a short while .
