Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Michael Aboud, Executive Chairman of Amalgamated Security Services, emphasized that the IMPACT Awards are more than a recognition program—they are a platform to celebrate role models who inspire positive change and demonstrate the power of service in action.

Honorees, special invited guests, partners, contractors, colleagues, and members of the ASSL family. Good evening.

Tonight is not just a function. It is a pause in the noise of daily operations. A moment where we stop moving long enough to look back with respect and forward with intention. We are gathered here to recognise service that endured. Performance that stood out. Partnerships that stayed the course. And impact that reached beyond contracts and job descriptions.

For more than four decades, Amalgamated Security Services has been built the old fashioned way. Brick by brick. Shift by shift. Decision by decision. Not by shortcuts, but by people who showed up when it mattered. People who stayed. People who believed that doing the job right still counts.

This evening, we honour our long service awardees and our retirees. Men and women whose loyalty cannot be measured only in years, but in trust earned, standards upheld, and values protected. You carried this organisation through change, growth, uncertainty, and progress. You did not just work here. You helped shape what ASSL is today. That legacy stands firm

We also recognise our high performers under the Chairman’s Award Scheme. These are individuals who did not settle for adequate. They raised the bar. They delivered excellence quietly, consistently, and without needing applause. Performance like that keeps an organisation sharp and future ready.

This night also belongs to our contractors and partners who walked the journey with us in building and renovating this purposeful headquarters. These walls now house 21st century security capability, technology, and innovation. But what truly matters is the trust and craftsmanship that went into creating a space worthy of the mission we serve. You did not just build a structure. You helped build a platform for the future.

And later this evening, we will speak to the ASSL Impact Awards. A program intentionally designed to recognise individuals, organisations, and institutions whose contribution strengthens our society in tangible ways. Much like our ACCP regional awards for law enforcement, these Impact Awards are about recognising real drivers of progress across disciplines. Nominations were made openly through our portal. Recommendations came from the ground up. That matters. Because impact is best judged by those who feel it

So tonight, we celebrate service, excellence, partnership, and impact. We honour the past with gratitude. We recognise the present with pride. And we look to the future with conviction. Because institutions endure only when people do the right things, for the right reasons, over time.

That is what we are here to acknowledge. And that is what we stand for.

Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, it is a profound honour to stand before you this evening as we gather to celebrate the festive season and pay tribute to those whose accomplishments rise far above the ordinary. Tonight, within these new facilities that we have had the privilege of occupying over the past year, we pause to reflect on how far we have journeyed together and on the extraordinary people who continue to shape that journey.

We are here to recognise individuals and institutions whose service to safety, security, education, and community well-being has strengthened the very fabric of our society. Their dedication echoes the enduring values upon which Amalgamated Security Services was founded: integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. These values have guided us for decades and remain the cornerstone of our mission.

In this moment of celebration, I am filled with deep gratitude and immense pride. To honour you is to acknowledge the finest expression of service. Your work has fortified public safety, uplifted communities, and advanced our nation with quiet strength and steadfast purpose. You remind us that true leadership is rooted in character, that greatness is revealed in service, and that progress is built by hands willing to labour for the good of others.
